How Do I Find A Team? Minimize

FIND A TEAM

Some suggestions for finding a team:

  • Start your own team
  • Contact Event Operators for teams participating in AAU events.Click here to see a list
  • Contact community-based organizations to inquire if they have team participating in AAU
  • Ask other athletes where they play
  • Watch the local newspaper for try-out information
  • Visit the AAU District website
  • Contact local AAU District Sports Director
  • Call 1-800-AAU-4USA
  • Parent's can have coaches contact them through the 'My Child Want to Play AAU Sports!' Program

The AAU is operated by volunteers. The AAU relies on the community and community leaders to organize teams. The AAU will attempt to assist athletes find a team; however, the responsibilty rests with the athletes not the AAU.

THE AAU IS AN EVENT-DRIVEN ORGANIZATION AND DOES NOT:

  • ORGANIZE TEAMS OR ATHLETES
  • SPONSOR TEAMS OR ATHLETES
  • ENTER TEAMS OR ATHLETES INTO EVENTS
  • SELECT COACHES, ADMINISTRATORS, OR DIRECTORS FOR ATHLETES, TEAMS, CLUBS, OR ORGANIZATIONS
